DESCRIPTION:In a STOP THE BLEED  course\, you'll learn techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out. These techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life. Instructor Mike Monnig is teaching this free course for our community.\n\nThe Port O'Connor Library Branch is excited to announce two Stop the Bleed classes and a CPR/AED Heartsaver certification course that will be available in August 2021. We are grateful to Instuctor Mike Monnig and his wife\, Anne Monnig for volunteering their time. The classes are provided free of charge. The Stop the Bleed class (August 20th at 6pm or Saturday August 21st at 10am) is open to all. The CPR/AED course on Sunday\, August 22nd at 1pm is limited to 9 participants. The CPR/AED participants will need to prepay the $17 charge for the card. There is no charge for the Stop the Bleed class. Please call (361) 983-4365 to register or with any questions.
